Focus Summer 2001 - Menu - Index - Previous - Next
Welcome to the new Focus to be published in
June 2001
 |
The cover this summer has two pictures
of the new public art installation at Shrublands, Shirley. Chinese
style lighting looks even better in the evenings and the benches
(inset) are a practical addition on the green. At the base of
each seat individual tiles have been designed by local school
children. This magnificent new addition to Croydon's public art
is part of an overall project including new paving and associated
works as part of the Council's drive towards a Cleaner &
Greener Croydon. Last summer we had a drawing of Jorrocks in
George Street on the cover of Focus, at last Croydon has some
more public art to be proud of! Well worth a quick visit. |
